Welcome to the South Coast Astro group (SCAG)
South Coast Astro is an Astronomy Group based in Hampshire/Dorset, with our observing site in the New Forest, Hampshire. We are a very active group whose sole purpose is to make the best of local dark skies and observe the night sky. Practical astronomy is our thing. We do not offer talks or meetings. We feel there are plenty of good Hampshire based Astronomy groups that offer those things and we wouldn’t want to step on their toes. What we can offer is an observing experience with other enthusiastic amateur astronomers under the best skies Hampshire has to offer. Our members have a range of interests and experience. We welcome any one from complete beginner to the experienced. Be happy to have you join us.
